Send your calls to Ansela
You keep your own number. One short code on your phone sends calls to your Ansela number, and another stops it. Once you’ve signed up, the app shows these codes with your number already in them.
Calls you don’t answer
Your phone rings for 25 seconds first. If you don’t pick up, the call goes to Ansela. Type this into your phone’s keypad, with your Ansela number where it says, and press call:

Every call
Your phone doesn’t ring at all while this is on. Every call goes straight to Ansela.

If your network won’t take the first code
Some networks don’t accept it. Set these three instead:

Your voicemail
While the divert is on, calls you miss go to Ansela, not to your own voicemail.
Turning the divert off with ##004# can also switch off your voicemail, because on most UK networks that code clears the voicemail divert too. If missed calls stop going to voicemail afterwards, ask your network to turn it back on. ##21# doesn’t do this.

These are the standard UK mobile codes. We don’t know of a network that needs different ones, so the same codes are listed for each. If yours rejects a code, use the three above, or ask the network to set the divert up for you.

What it costs
Some networks and landline providers charge for diverted calls, so check your tariff. If your Ansela number is a mobile number, calls diverted to it from a landline may cost extra per minute.
